The reason I mentioned the thrust links is B/C the original were notorious for early wear due to under-sized rubber bushes. Mercedes remedied this known fault by increasing the bushes to a beefier size. This is reflected in the New/Modified part #.

Check around with any Benz Indy . They change the Originals by the truckload.
