Its refreshing to hear your opinion on this matter - after 4 years its good we can agree on something. As BP would say about carbon footprints... It's a start.

Things would have been different if the incident had occurred in Mexico? I'd be curious to hear what you think might have happened to the senior citizen if the incident had taken place in say... Berkeley or maybe San Francisco and lets say for the sake of argument the perp bad been an illegal alien.

What do you think would have happened to the person that defended himself?
