I saw a story on the news last week about this. The airport using the scanners only allow men to view male scans and women to use female scans. Identifiable facial features are not captured. Subjects have the option to be scanned by the device or to have the old-fashioned wand used. The scanners don't have the capacity to store images. Even if you don't believe that last part, I still think this is all a tempest in a teacup because you can't identify the person from the scan. Its not like a photograph.
