HI and welcome.

Your car probably does have a generator. Alternators were used in 1966 and later cars. They can be converted. You need a new mounting bracket and the alternator and regulator.

The only way to change to fuel injection is to put in a 220SE engine. They are different, M180 vs. M127. Other engines can be used such as the M110 used in the W116 280S/SE and W123 280E. You will need an electric fuel pump.

Another option would be to use the intake and exhaust manifold from a 220S which has dual two barrel carbs instead of the two single barrel carbs.
