Do you have leather or MB Tex? I thought the diesels tended to get MB Tex, but it wears like iron so I am assuming you have leather. If the upholstery is actually ripped, you need to glue in a patch UNDER the rip, then fill the gap from above with a patching compound obtained from one of the above companies. Both also make dye to match MB leather or vinyl. Colorplus has it in stock in MB colors, and Leatherique will custom mix a color for you.
I haven't actually patched rips but if you get the free brochure from colorplus it gives very detailed instructions.
