Diesel is bout 4.50 canadian or 3.00 american per us gallon here.Its all relevent to where you live and what you earn though. Wages out in the west specifically Alberta for example are astronomical at present. The spread in earnings for the same employment depending on location basically in this country has become too great in the last while in my opinion. A better yardstick is how much fuel is purchased with one hour of earnings. Inflation has to be considered carefully. On that basis fuel may even be cheaper than in the past for many. For those that have not kept up it may be greater.
