Can one use a power pack (the rechargable type) to charge a car battery?

I am asking this because I am putting my E320 to rest for a while as I am increasingly enjoying the diesel. I hate to use a battery charge to charge the battery in the car as it could (very small chance though) cause damage to the electronics.
