Well Guys its on. Alon you were right. The problem was the right front tab would not release. Thinking what Doctors say "first do no harm" I didn`t want to brake it. Once it released it came right off.
But you know those Germans must be sadistic, You need a 15mm wrench for the jam nut, in a 5mm space. I bet Mercedes has a special tool for it , probably costs as much as the shifter!!
