My first source for used power steering pumps sent me the wrong one twice, then said he didn't have the right one.
The power steering pump I took out was broken in three places on the mounting points. I located a second one that turned out to have one cracked mounting bracket. Two of the same PS pump from the 1991 350SD car, both with the same problem?
It sounds like there is a problem with these. See attached pictures.
Does anybody know if another power steering pump will work? Maybe the "126 460 1480" which has the same pressure rating, and input and output fittings, and looks like it has the same mounting geometry? See third attached picture.
I hope I have located a good one from John Candy.
