john, the car has the dual carb setup now, i also put alu. drums on all 4 wheels, if i could find a rebuild kit for the engine i do have a 61 220s parts car i could rebuild that motor and put it in. the main reason i wanted the 250 engine is just so i don't tear up the 56 motor. i don't plan to keep the car all original, but i don't want to hack on it in case i decide to put it that way when i'm older. i've got a set of the 14" buntant(spelling?) that i plan on cleaning up and using, i have put them on the car and they do fit(i also think they look pretty good too) my tranny does have an issue with popping out or 4th gear going down the highway(i'm thinking sycros) i was told however that my 61 tranny should work in my 56. but the biggest problem i have is just finding parts for it any help would be app.
