The 85 300D I used to own had bad clear coat on the hood and tops of the front fenders. It only kept getting worse by spreading as time passed. It would have been a loosing battle to try to keep up with it. I would have kept it had it not been so bad and the price of diesel so high, compared to gas, at the time.
