The miles are low, however it's over a decade old and the grease [U]may be drying in the ball joints. They're expensive and appear difficult to replace. My ball joints squeeked loudly when I turned the wheels.
My solution after investigating replacing ball joints was to drill a hole at the bottom of the ball joint and installed a self threading grease zerk. Idea from a mechanic friend.
After squeezing new grease in the passenger side joint, sqweaking stopped and this was over 1 year ago.
I will soon do the drivers side as well as prevention.
