I was putting my car cover on the other day and as I stretched it over the back heard a snap. Sure enough, I broke the hood star off. In trying to replace it, I have discovered that the replacement hood star with the same part number, 123 880 0086, is too small. Instead of having a 4 cm base, it has a 3.5 cm base. It technically fits, but it doesn't cover the scuff marks left in the chrome from the original, larger one. Is there an appropriately sized hood star out there for the 126's that so far eludes me? Is there a star made for another model with a 4 cm base that I could use instead?
