Tom has the right idea; you'll probably do better when you get to be an old guy. My all time record was an 86 Buick LaSabre, bought new, 231K on the clock when I traded, brakes (original) had passed NYS inspection the previous month. My '84 190D has 162K plus on the fronts that I put on when I got the car.
That said, where I drive I only have to use the brakes once every 40-50 miles.
