I tossed the resonators on the SD. They rust at the inlets and would required replacements. A straight pipe, welded in place, fills the gap.

Only problem is that there is no easy way to support the pipe between the top of the downpipe and the muffler. The shop made two attempts but the result was a horrible resonating sound inside the cabin. Anything that secures the exhaust to the body won't work. I never did convince them to try a proper "hangar" for the exhaust.

With the current setup, there is a very slight drone at exactly 2000 rpm.......but, it's not objectionable.
