I used HiTemp Engine paint, color Cast Iron. The first time I started the engine they turned pink. The paint had about a week to dry so I thought all was well. Oh well, it finally burned off and are the same color of rust they were before the paint. I do believe there is a special Header paint available but I think it is rather expensive and hard to find. Ceramic coating is also available and it holds up perty good. Also expensive and not to many places do it. Usually it is a place that does powder coating.
