I was putting everything back together after installing a new expansion valve in my 300D when it started raining. I lowered my hood, shut the garage door, and put the hood back up. Once it stopped raining I pushed the button to open my garage door.
The top of the door caught on my grill and hyperexteneded the hood. It bent the arms that hold the hood up. It shuts OK, but is an inch up at the back and the grill is an inch forward. Anyone ever replaced the arms before? I guess I need to find a junk yard near Huntsville, AL.
Anyway, I thought I would share my pain in hopes that someone else out there might avoid my mistake.
