Well, I've got some good news and some bad news. The good news is that I was able to remove the wiper arms and motor. Plus, it turns out that the motor is OK - the linkage is binding badly so I will have to soak it in WD 40 to see if I can loosen it up. The bad news is that the block of wood I was using when prying the arm off was resting on the bottom of the windshield. As you have probably guessed, I now need a new windshield. Figures: I finally get the windshield wipers fixed and there is nothing to wipe anymoore
