Mpolli gave an excellent reply, but I'll repeat but from the Haynes manual.

1) Fuel pump is adjacent to the fuel filter (underside of car)

battery disconnect - car cool

2) To relieve fuel pressure, remove briefly then refit fuel filter. Additionally a fuel pressure relief valve ( schrader type ) is fitted to front of fuel rail, another method is to remove fuel pump relay and crank engine for a few seconds. If your going to do the work respond back and type out the directions fully.

3) Remove pump plastic protective filter.

4) Use hose clamps.

5) Remove rear luggage compartment floor covering from inside the car, lift insulation for access to fuel pump wiring. Disconect wiring at connector. Prise rubber grommet and feed wiring through.

6) Posiiton container under fuel pump, disconnect fuel supply from fuel pump. If fitted disconnect ventilation hose.

7) There may be a non-return valve to be unscrewed from fuel pump outlet.

Be sure insulation sleeve is O.K.. pump must not touch mounting clamps otherwise corrosion can occur.
