Reminds me a bit of the three land rover 110 diesels that I drove over a period of three years. The fuses were always blowing (electricals provided by the Prince of Darkness - Lucas) and instead of continuing to buy new fuses I made my own out of strands of copper wire. I forget, maybe we estimated that one copper strand would handle about 8 amps and added strands to meet the peak demand.
