Germanfest XXI September 9 Museum of Transportation Brookline MA

Germanfest XXI

On Sunday September 9, 2007 the Minuteman Section of the Mercedes Benz Club of America and the Larz Anderson Auto Museum are pleased to present the 21th annual Germanfest. Directions www.mot.org

Registration will open at 8:30am and will cost $20, which includes entrance to the museum for 2 individuals. All registration will take place on the day of the event. Judging will begin by 11:00 am with ‘rags down' announced at that time. No car will be entered for judging after 11:00am, although you can enter for ‘display only'. And no cleaning of cars will be allowed after judging begins. Rules for judging in the street class and concourse class are according to Mercedes Benz Club of North America criteria, which focus on cleanliness and authenticity of the vehicle. Cars can be entered for display purposes only if desired, and no judging will take place on these cars.

This year we are deleting the Daily Driver Class and replacing it with a Survivor Class. The rules for this class are still under development, but the basic idea is to recognize older cars that have been beautifully preserved and not restored. No professional entrants will be registered in this class.

First, second and third place awards are given out in 11 classes and 4 trophies are awarded for the finest and most unusual cars entered.

Volunteers are always appreciated. Please contact John Slamin at 508-880-8441 or at jslamin@dpyus.jnj.com for any further information.
