Unfortunately, I was wrong, there was no disk stuck in the cd player. While I had the player cover off, I pluged it back in and loaded a mag. One by one the changer loaded the cd's, they spun up, stopped, and spun up again then the changer ejected it and went to the next one. After all six had been loaded and ejected, all with "Load Error", the head just showed CD 0. Looks like the laser is not picking up.

So guys, is it time for a new changer or does anyone have any ideas about this? Thanks.

Joe
Yup... Had the same problem a couple years back with my CD-Changer. For a replacement, I recommend Fast Track Electronics... http://gofte.com/ItemsPriceSheetMBZ.htm

Have dealt with them for years and have replaced a number of head units and a CD-Changer with them. Never had one of their units fail and their service is good.
