There's some truth to that, hence my "no check engine light rule." There is something to be said for cars that were built before accountants took over the world.
If I was forced (at gunpoint) to buy a new car, I really don't know what I would buy. I still don't think I could bring myself to buy a domestic/ricer, I might buy something flakey like a mini cooper or a smart, at least they're not generic.
