The key to using the forum and getting along with the other members is to first search for your answer before asking. This is especially true when you yourself have noted that its a "stupid question". In this case it is not a stupid question, dropping the top is not an intuitive task -- but it has been covered in the forum many times and a quick search would bring you your answer.
