real challenge

OK, I think I have a question that just might stump the pros on here. I have a '92 300D with the 124 chasis and it runs great most of the time. However, when I hit bumps, such as going over railroad tracks, it stalls. Sometimes the stall is bad enough that the car dies, but most of the time it just loses power for a second or two. The car starts back up immediately if and when I have to use the starter. Any ideas on what could be causing the car to stall?
