I just tore down the spare turbo I've had sitting on a shelf for a few months now. After lots of PB Blaster, and liberal use of a rubber mallet and a large brass drift, everything is now apart. The center bearing housing was a nightmare to remove, as gobs of baked on carbon had virtually welded it to the turbine housing mating surface. The thing is covered in baked-on grease, carbon, rust, etc.

So what should I use to thoroughly clean the innards? My preference is towards LESS scrubbing, if at all possible. And no, I don't have access to an ultrasonic parts cleaner.
