Of course, I have a W124 and I can't get beyond the "1. Remove the switch from its console." part. LOL. It would be a little bit easier if I was more mechanically inclined I imagine.

This DIY is superb with great instructions. I was excited thinking about and at least trying to repair the switch, if not replacing it. But I'm stuck coming out of the starting gate.

I can't seem to find (let alone get to) the metal prongs. Is it possible that the switches are anchored differently for the W124?
