This is a high level repair even for experienced techs. You might be capable of it though you will have to be the judge of that. If it is money that you are trying to save, I think that paying someone to do it is better. I actually paid a Nissan Tech to install the rear main seal in my 1993 Pathfinder 4WD. I am a Master Tech with all of the tools and then some, but he does this repair all day long and will know some things I will not about the product...Just think if you replace the seal and it still leaks because the bolts are slightly streched or the flex plates are very slightly misaligned...It has happened to the best techs there are. I would get someone to do it!
