How often do you wash the engine?
There is a pressure switch on the intake manifold, it senses boost pressue and opens the switch-over valve if it senses overboost,the switch is very sensitive to water.
Find and unplug the switch and take a ride if that fixes the problem replace the switch and be careful when washing.
