I would surmise that the trillions of dollars of national treasure that has been so recklessly squandered on the Iraq adventure would be more properly first questioned than what is spent on Social Security for our senior citizens to attempt to live out their golden years with a modicum of dignity.
A bit of a pessimist, huh? Geez. I think the elderly in America do quite well, especially those who planned well for their retirement. In their "Golden Years", most seniors seem quite healthy and happy - certainly not treated like "trash". The older people I know and am in contact with on a daily basis are very satisfied with their lives.
