Thank you for your response! I have heard good things about the rebuilt transmissions available through the dealer network. Too bad they don't offer them for grey market cars. (caveat emptor?) Oh well, the engine probably won't last much longer anyways - it drinks A LOT of oil & pulls A LOT into the combustion chambers under high vacuum conditions, even after I put on new valveguide seals (plus you could feel a lot of movement in the valve stems when rocked sideways). I'll let you know which blows up first

PS: does anyone know of a good 560 engine & trans for sale at a decent price? Preferably a euro-spec 560 (I'm allowed to dream, right?)
