not sure if this helps but on the oe wires on the bott where it fits over the plug it says 1k ohm .. so im assuming the wires have a resistance of 1k ohm ..

ill have to ask my geek buddies on their thoughts to see ..

whats the worst that could happen fry my computer ..lol .. i can get another one for 2 bucks so really not a big deal .. i may just try out them wires and go with some high qaulity plugs
