A doctor that I know got a little girl from China and are very happy with the reslults. I believe they are considering another.
They went over to the orphanage to pick her up and even though the two ladies in charge of 200 kids at the orpahage (or so) were overworked they felt they cared for the babies because they cried when they left with the little girl.
There are no boys to adopt in China because they want them to work. With the one child rules baby girls are given up or in rural areas quietly exterminated.
