I agree... sticking anything on the A-pillar of a luxury car (or anything other than a rally car, really) looks ridiculous.

If you want to put a boost gauge on the car, I definitely recommend an ashtray one. On my 83 300D-T, I have the ashtray removed, and a boost gauge / volt meter installed.. with a piece of zebrano wood as the backing so that it looks "stock".
