Instead of using rattle can spray paint. why not use automotive paint?
go to your local Dupont or PPG auto paint store and have them mix the color you want.
If you don`t have a small spray gun compressor etc... there is one called Preval spray gun. It`s about $5.00 or so. it`s a glass jar with a pressure cylinder with the spray tip. mix what ever ratio you want & amount.

Just used it in my engine compartment, didn`t want to set up the big spray gun. came out ok.

Or just okie chrome it, silver spray.
