In warm weather I can't prevent the transmission from shifting into 5th gear by moving the shift leaver from "D" to "4". It only works when the weather is cold. When it is not working properly, kickdown is delayed significantly at higher speeds. When the weather is cooler and it is working, kickdown is immediate. What could be causing this?
