If you have say an average raised ranch thats worth $450k, and it burns down the lot is probably worth about $200k. So how many years of premium does it take to add up to $250k?

You don't insure the value of the lot in homeowner's insurance, you insure the value of the house.
The lot is a wash on insurance....free. You cannot lose bare land in a fire, flood or tornado.
