Actually, each seat is bolted to another piece of frame which the motors are attached. If you can swap the top part then you don't have to worry about the wiring. I think yours has seat memory box under the driver seat.

After you got the seat out of the car, flip the seat upside down. They are 6 big philips screws, you might need a impact screw driver to get them loose. not all of them are visible but you can jump the 1st electric motor(facing the seat) to position the sliding rail out of the way. for those two screws in the middle there is a hole on each rail and you need to position it on top of the screw to get to it.

I got 87 420SEL seats in my 83 300SD(no seat memory). driver side has memory box and the connectors are different. that's why I swapped them. I think they can be done. I'm not sure about the armrest...
