Fine with me that he popped them - those two yahoos had it coming. Unfortunately for Horn, you can't do that in Texas even though the Grand Jury will understand why he did it. You're allowed to shoot somebody in your house because no "normal" person should be expected to retreat from his own house during a break-in. He would have been better off going outside without the phone then saying the burglars attacked him and he had to use self-defense.
