My friend has basically offered to give me a set of wheels he has. I have a 1993 400E. The wheels are 19x8.5. I've heard you shouldn't go bigger than 17 on the w124. I need new wheels (wider) and tires, and for this deal its too good not to look into. Can anyone offer me advice on what to do? Can I tweak the suspension? Is it even possible to fit 19"s onto a W124? If I get a body kit will that get rid of the rubbing issue if I get the right type? Is there a right type for this sort of operation?

Essentially, if I wanted to make this work, what would I have to do and what sort of costs would I be looking at?
