The Nakamichi MB1000/CDC1000 you mention...these are the ones that came out several years ago, right? Reason I ask is that I've been looking for one. And if you know any in superb condition that are being sold, I'll take one at the right price.
I know that they're pretty old but the sheer engineering that went into those things, plus the quality of their DAC simply can't be beat, even by todays modern units.
I have a Nak CD700 for my head unit, Dynaudios front and rear, a/d/s/ subs, Zapco EQs and Genesis amplification all around. The Nak changer would definitely complete the system.
