These durability tests are more like popularity contests. Quality means much more than customer satisfaction. To compare a Ford Focus to a MB is the point I am talking. Do you compare a piece of leather to a piece of burlap to make a quality judgement; they both do their jobs.
Customer relations is a separate issue in my mind and quality is not measured only by lack of defect. A hunk of stone is without defect, since it serves its purpose, indefinitely.
