I've solved the dent problem by parking at the far corner of every parking lot I park in. Either that, or if I find the cluster of Corvettes, Mustangs, and BMWs that tend to park together in lots to protect each other, I join that. Either way I don't take my chances with the middle of the lot.

Anything that's safe in a wreck would be my pick. Not much help but that would be my primary concern.
