I just bought an '80 280 SLC.

The owner bumped a deer a few weeks ago and decided to sell versus fix and I "stole" it

Anyway, it has the euro headlights which both suffered damage, 1 lens completely broken out and 1 lens cracked but the housings are fine.

The one that was smashed out is missing the little metal bulb cover "thingamajig".

I've sourced new lenses but I'm wondering if those "thingamajigs" are available or if not, are they necessary when using the new type black tipped bulbs?

I want to install the new lenses upon arrival and would like to know either way.
