A Better Wrench - Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill

I'd echo the sentiments of tc art - A Better Wrench (Chapel Hill, NC), to use the pun, runs like a well oiled machine. Everyone I've dealt with in servicing my 84 190d is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Several times I've made an appointment, taken my car in first thing in the day for major maintenance, and they've had it ready for me before the end of the day.

And, more than once, using honesty that is sometime foreign to the world of auto mechanics, they have declined to do work that I ordered that didn't really need to be done. In my past dealing with auto mechanics, the shops would do the work and gladly charge me, whether it needed doing or not. These guys just say, "hey, we looked at it for you, and in our opinion you can save the dough for something else cause it doesn't need the work right now".

Only a truly successful shop can afford to be honest and turn down easy money from unsuspecting folks like me, and these guys are just that.
