I want another 100k miles! What to do?

I have a 85 300d with 225k. OK condition but I want to do what is needed to make this car last 100k longer. I may also in the future convert to SVO/WVO. I am mechanically inclined and already planned to change timing chain, injecors, etc... If Im already going that far would it be worth it to pull the engine and change seals, bearings and rings? I know compression is critical to WVO. If so what would you recommend with regards to the head? Does the OMG617 usually need skimming?

I want to do a quality job here. The engine runs OK but has a slack timing chain and bad injectors. Im sure it has another 100k+ with a good rebuild. Are there any other engine components that require special scrutiny during a rebuild? What about the oil pump and chain?

I dont want to cut corners but I dont want to buy a new engine either.
