+1. I've run around in circles before testing things and replacing starters only to find that it was my battery cable. They corrode at the ends, so you can get a replacement clamp for a few dollars, cut the old one off far enough to get to nice, clean cable and clamp the new one on. Probably something that should be done anyways after 20 years or so of corrosion.
