Hi All, I have just found this forum and am really impressed with the knowledge and expertise on offer here..
I have recently purchased a 92 300SL on the cheap as a long term fixer upper project, I have very little mechanical experience and am looking for a recommendation of good MB mechanic in the North Jersey / west NY area.
The car itself drives very well for it's 125K on the clock, although needs a lot of cosmetic attention, specially the interior, rips in the seats and no jump seat.
I have found a company call JJ products who make and supply the rear jump seats and replica upholstery at a reasonable price..

my question is: has anyone ever purchased the these items from JJ's and exactly how easy is it to change the original leather seat covering...? according to them, i can do it myself... is this really the case.
It could also do with a fresh paint job, but one thing at a time..
Just moved to the US from the UK so not familier at all with local auto mechanics.
looking forward to your replys
