Mercedes did half the work already. the Mercedes engine doesn't bell out to meet the transmission. the back of the engine is square, and an adapter bolts to that from the factory. we will just have to recreate the transmission adapter to bolt up to the Toyota transmission. using the crank shaft and input shaft as the centering point.

the Mercedes clutch disc is the same size as the Toyota clutch. so we are going use a Toyota clutch disc and Mercedes flywheel and pressure plate.

the existing Mercedes adapter plate is aluminum. but the first adapter plate will be made of steel because it is cheaper and easier for us to work with. (we are building it in the garage) once we get it down we are going to work with my friends brother, the owner of the shop talked about in the first post, about getting to use some tools to make it out of aluminum.
