There is no need to replace the sleeves unless they won't clean up on a .5mm over bore.

We use the oversize pistons and bore. If one or more doesn't clear then on those we install the new liners and bore them to the same oversize.

New pistons come with rings and new liners always have to be bored to size, so it doesn't matter which size you bore to. The Mahle pistons we got for the 240D cost $69 a piece. Its my experience that sites like fastlane are charging anywhere from 10-30% over what I pay for the same.
